Return & Refund Policy
At Rudra Jewellers, customer satisfaction is our priority.
1. Return Window
– Ready-stock jewellery: 7 days from date of delivery
– Custom-made / engraved / made-to-order pieces: Non-returnable (see exceptions below)
2. Conditions for Return
The product is eligible for return only if all of the following are met:
– Returned within 7 days of delivery
– Original packaging, tags, and certificate of authenticity (BIS Hallmark / HUID) intact
– No physical damage, alteration, scratches, or signs of wear
– Original tax invoice provided
– Product not custom-made, engraved, or altered to customer specifications
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following are not eligible for return under any circumstance, except in case of manufacturing defect or wrong item shipped:
– Earrings, nose pins, and body-piercing jewellery (hygiene reasons).
– Custom-designed, made-to-order, or engraved pieces.
– Resized or modified pieces.
– Jewellery with broken or tampered hallmark / HUID.
– Jewellery without original certificate of authenticity.
4. Return Process
i. Initiate return within 7 days of delivery by emailing help@rudrajewels.in with order ID, reason, and clear photos of the product and packaging.
ii. Our team will respond within 24-48 hours with approval and a Return Authorisation Number (RAN).
iii. Pack the product in the original box along with all certificates, invoice, and the RAN slip.
iv. Ship via insured courier to the address provided by us. Return shipping cost is borne by the customer (except for defective or wrong-item cases).
v. Upon receipt, our team inspects the product within 5 working days.
vi. Once inspection is passed, refund is initiated.
5. Refund Timeline
– Refunds are processed within 7 working days after inspection approval.
– Refund is credited to the original payment method.
– Bank-side processing may add 3-7 additional working days.
– For Cash on Delivery orders, refund is processed via bank transfer to the customer’s account.
6. Refund Deductions
The following may be deducted from the refund amount:
– Return shipping charges (if applicable).
– Making charges and wastage (non-refundable on custom pieces).
– Any visible decrease in product value due to handling.
7. Exchange Policy
– Exchange is allowed within 7 days of delivery, subject to the same conditions as returns.
– Exchange for higher-value piece: customer pays the price difference + applicable GST.
– Exchange for lower-value piece: difference refunded to original payment method.
– Only one exchange permitted per order.
8. Order Cancellation
– Cancellation before dispatch: Full refund within 5-7 working days.
– Cancellation after dispatch: Treated as a return; return policy applies.
– Custom-made / engraved orders: Cannot be cancelled once production begins.
9. Defective or Wrong Item Received
If you receive a defective or incorrect product:
– Notify us within 24 hours of delivery with photos
– We bear the return shipping cost
– Free replacement, exchange, or full refund — at the customer’s choice
– Resolution within 10 working days from receipt of returned product
10. Manufacturing Defects
Manufacturing defects (such as loose stones, broken clasps, hallmark errors) reported within 7 days of delivery will be repaired or replaced free of cost. Beyond 7 days, repair charges may apply.
11. Important Notes
– Gold buyback / exchange against new purchase is handled separately under our Gold Exchange Policy (available on request).
– Tax invoice retention is mandatory for any return, exchange, or buyback.
– Refunds are processed only to the original buyer’s account / payment instrument.
– Rudra Jewellers reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet the above conditions.
